NBA Playoffs x Quest For Larry
Walt Disney Studios tapped ESPN to create custom content advertising the release of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ with a co-promotion of the NBA Western Conference Finals on ESPN. To reach our NBA audience, we created our own Indiana Jones adventure that mirrored the pursuit of an NBA championship, with Indy on a quest for the “treasure” (the championship trophy) that took him through the cities of the Western Conference playoff contenders, with nods to the iconography of those teams and the Indiana Jones franchise baked into every scene. With the legendary Harrison Ford’s voiceover and the classic “Raiders March” as our soundtrack, our campaign reached fans of both the film franchise and basketball in a series of spots that ran on ESPN during the Western Conference Finals broadcasts, as well as in ESPN studio shows like NBA Today and NBA Countdown, in addition to ESPN’s social media channels, for a wide-reaching campaign that delivered fortune and glory for Disney.
